Wrist warmers all cast off. Christmas tress stuffed. Friday.
Two Christmas tree ornaments – sewn. Wrist warmer, almost there.
More patterns cut and ready…all five tie pieces, need to to think about lining…and then, of course, a little more knitting, thumb expansion complete!
More Christmas preparations…a little more cutting for the frock – it’s going to have red spotty godets to give flare! Prepping for a tie, with a different pattern this time, and a couple of tree hangings cut and ready to go. Finally another 18 rows on the wrist warmers, I’d call that a success!
An unusually busy evening for a Monday, on a roll with a desire to get projects done for Christmas…and to have my weekend flexible!
So I’ve made a head start, picked up fabric for niece no. 3’s dress, and some to make a couple handkerchiefs, and maybe even something for a tie…(though after my first attempt a couple years ago, I’m a little wary of the latter!). Discovered I still have some lovely Nordic Christmas fabric left for some small hanging Christmas trees as little gifts…quite excited to get a hold of my sewing machine 🙂
It didn’t even end with cutting out the basics of the dress and the little bit of planning…I cast on the second wrist warmer and knitted 18 of the 40 rows I need before expanding for the thumb…now that’s progress!
A walk exploring new places today, enjoying the autumn air and views! This evening I finally managed to finish a glove…so just the one more to produce!
Hanging out in a cosy corner, enjoying an ‘Indulgent afternoon’. Spiced winter cocktail, cake and knitting while the world outside darkens. Think I’ve figured out the thumb, mostly, don’t think too much, just do…
